Acoustic Box live : Specs

CH1 - Channel 1 (passive channel)

• Monitor light on CH1;
• Channel 1 has a high input impedance that is designed to accept a jack piezo or passive microphone. Channel 1 is designed to accept pickup/piezo/microphone signals that normally operate at the instrument level - but will accept signal levels up to 0 dBu;
• Adjustable input gain level (Channel 1);
• Parametric equalizer of Channel 1: Frequency range 360 Hz - 2.6 KHz
• MID level correction: +/- 12dB.

CH2 - Channel 2 (active channel, +48V Phantom Power)

• Monitor light on CH 2;
• Channel 2 has a low input impedance that is designed to accept phantom microphone (DPA, AKG, AUDIO TECHNICA, NEUMANN, etc.). The maximum signal that can be applied without distortion on CH2 is -20dBu;
• Adjustable input gain level (Channel 2);
• Parametric equalizer of Channel 2: Frequency range 360 Hz - 2.6 KHz;
• MID level correction: +/- 12dB;
• Notch filter: The notch filter is designed to remove the natural resonance frequency of your instrument that may contribute into feedback. It can be activated or deactivated with a switch and can be tuned between 50-250 Hz;
• Phase Channel CH2: This allows to change the phase of CH2 by 180 deg. with respect to CH1;
• Low pass filter: When engaged the shelving low-pass filter reduces the mid-high frequencies, starting from 1KHz, by up to 6dB. This features helps to reduce substantially the feedback without compromising the sound quality.

MIX controls

• PHASE ALL: allows you to control the mix signal phase of your preamp. This feature is particularly interesting when playing on a small stage where there is a need to control the AMP signal phase with respect to the acoustic sound.
•  MUTE ON: mute both output AMP OUT (JACK)  and PA out (XLR).
•  Ground control switch LIFT/GND: this feature tackles the ground loop issue encountered when AMP and PA are connected and used simultaneously.

Tone controls

• LOW, MID, HIGH: This section of tone controls is specially designed to be effective on your double bass instrument. The tone control affect the frequency response of your mixed signal CH1+CH2.

Level AMP

• Allows you to control the output signal level that is directed into your AMP via an unbalanced JACK.

Level PA

• Allows you to control the output signal level connected to your PA/MIXER via XLR balanced cable.

Connections

• CH1: JACK passive channel;
• CH2: XLR balanced phantom power +48V;
• AMPOUT: JACK unbalanced connection;
• PA-OUT: XLR balanced connection.

Power

• 110V or 230V selectable.
